Marbury students succeed in many areas of life. Our alumni include Lawyers, Doctors, It people, actors, musicians and artists. Many of them retain an association with the school long after they graduate. On this page you can read testimony from former students or their parents.
Marg Cameron (Mother of Jay Lamey graduated 1997)
My son Jay Lamey attended Marbury from 1993-97, for his High School years. I'd like to express my and Jay's deep gratitude for all that Marbury offered him.
After school Jay worked at Ngapartji Multimedia centre in the Internet Cafe and doing the content development in web design. He was offered work at Ngapartji when he went to Parliament House to receive his 20/20 certificate for Year 12 IT. Meanwhile he studied Journalism and International Studies at Magill and is now in Penang studying at Universiti Sains Malaysia (Malaysian University of Science) on an exchange programme, and having a great time. Mostly, Marbury supported him in developing very positive and highly appreciated social relationships, and his ability for excellent communication and relationship has remained one of his greatest strengths, across all areas of his life. I believe this was largely due to the non competitive approach at Marbury, as well as astute guidance from key teachers. As a parent I enjoyed the relaxed attitude to homework, and found that Marbury's encouragement of self motivation worked very well for someone of Jay's temperament (very independent)

I feel incredibly lucky because I am the only person I know who can look back at their schooling and say they genuinely enjoyed it. I still feel the benefits today. Thankyou for myself, and congratualtions for all the other young people who'se lives you so enhance.
